classification of topics under HUMSS

The HUMSS strand is classified into two fields, namely Humanities and Social Sciences. With these fields, there corresponds several specialization subjects to be taken in senior high school. Under the Humanities, two specialization subjects are taken namely Creative Writing and Creative Nonfiction. Other than that under Humanities Philosophy, Religion & Literature are tackled in general. On the other hand, since the Social Sciences covers a lot of disciplines which can be taken in college, several subjects are offered in this strand. We have anthropology, history, linguistics, economics, political science, sociology, geography, psychology, & demography. All these disciplines are inter-connected with one another. HUMSS students have tackled Philippine Politics and Governance & are still tackling Disciplines and Ideas in Social Science. The following subjects are the Introduction to World Religions and Belief systems; Trends, Networks and Critical Thinking in the 21st century culture; Community Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship; Applied Social Sciences; and work immersions.
